The Pricing team is one of the core pillars of Coupang’s business and is responsible for helping determine the price of every product sold on Coupang. As the Pricing team is responsible for serving hundreds of millions of requests every day our mission is to build and maintain highly scalable and extensible platforms that is also highly availability and robust. 

As part of our Operator Efficiency team, you will directly architect and implement the tools used by hundreds of people to help us ensure competitive pricing. These full stack (front-end and back-end) tools and systems are constantly evolving and improved to enable seamless workflows for our users and timely response to dynamic pricing changes.  You will be part of a team that is key to Coupang’s success. 

You will work closely with a group of engineers in multiple geographic locations and you’ll solve challenge problems at scale with high reliability. Your efforts will directly have an impact on tens of millions of Coupang customers every single day!   

Roles and Responsibilities： 
• Drive Coupang’s strategic projects and technical initiatives across the company  

• End-to-end responsibility: from diagnostic and strategy development to execution and accountability for quarterly and annual goals 
• High exposure to various tech and business leaders depending on the focus project 
• Develop new tools and process to support the strategic direction of the organization 
• Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance 
• Act as an internal accelerator across multiple organizations to help implementation of new tools and processes. 
• Work with internal stakeholders (tech, finance, legal, marketing teams) to drive scalable solutions and resolutions 
• Identify systems needs and/or define process to improve efficiency and enable scalability 
• Define metrics to measure the efficacy of internal resources and lead teams to improve metrics by making modification to current processes

Basic Qualifications 

• 10+ years of technical or/and business development experience  

• Experience in challenging problem solving, deep diving into an issue, identifying root-causes and suggesting realistic solutions  

• Experience synthesizing information quickly, distilling key takeaways, and presenting insights to senior leadership 

• Experience working with large sets of structured and unstructured data and synthesizing into business insights 

• Expert communication and interpersonal skills, must be able to run meetings and work streams with senior leadership across the company in English/Chinese or Korean/Chinese. 

• High standards and a bias toward action 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience setting the culture of a team and ensuring code quality across a team. 

• Deep understanding of Operational Excellence and what it takes to run and monitor highly available systems. 

• Experience working with AWS technologies such as S3, Kafka, EMR, and others. 

• Prior experience integrating with Grafana and Slack. 

• A desire to grow those around you both technically and professionally. 

• Ability to challenge, professionally and respectfully, the existing norms to improve overall systems and processes. 

• Ability to work in multicultural, cross functional team.
