We are a Seed Stage funded startup, already in market with product-market fit and revenue. We are evolving our GTM channels to a combination marketplace and D2C business, which recruits and enables partners (people who engage seniors to capture their stories on video) and drives new customers (seniors and their families) to partners who use our platform.
 
Our Mission is to Empower people to capture, discover and share the stories that matter most and to do so on video. Everyone has a story to tell and we seek to become the #1 platform to enable professional-grade capture, production, preservation, and distribution of peoples’ archival quality stories on video. 
 
Who We Are: We are a group of investors and operators with proven track records as entrepreneurs, creative, and technical leaders. We have started, incubated, and scaled new businesses in the B2C and B2B2C sectors. We are veterans from the video game, high-tech/cloud/e-commerce industries, healthcare, and one of us is an award winning Filmmaker, writer, storytelling coach, and TED speaker.
 
Our Business: We are the video equivalent of StoryCorp, somewhat similar to StoryWorth (for Video, not books) seeking to ensure that everyone’s story, starting with Seniors, is captured, shared and preserved on Video. Our model is similar but not the same to popular marketplaces including Angi, Rover, and others.

OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic startup leader, with strong B2C and B2B2C marketing and digital/physical marketing skills and experience, AND/OR strong B2C / B2B2C Product Marketing / Product Mgmt skills and experience. You will wear 'multiple hats'. You love building new businessess from the ground up, and you are an entrepreneurial self-starter and a team player, who can get things done yourself and through others. You will lead the evolution of the strategy and drive execution that delivers business results
  • This role is responsible for leading the Startup day-to-day, inclusive of all functions, working backwards from customers and goals, using KPIs to gauge success along the way. The role will report to the Board (e.g. co-founders), and can depending on the success, evolve into the CEO role.
Compensation: Up to $150k Salary, and up to 5% equity, depending on experience.
 
Role & Responsibilities: As President of the business, you will: 
  • Serve as the hands-on leader accountable for all major functions in the startup, and likely responsible for at least one of these functions (at the beginning): Partner with the co-founders, and lead a small team (some of whom are co-founders) that includes a CPO/CTO, UX/UI Lead, Storyteller/Creative Lead, Community Outreach Lead, SW Lead, and Marketing / Growth lead to the build / execution of our marketplace, and grow and then scale the business in a profitable way in order to enable readiness for a Series A (venture capital) funding round.
Qualifications & Experience
Must Have:
  • Proven experience directly leading, or being a member of leadership team of at least one new business / startup which you have driven from "Zero-to-One" and beyond. This includes demonstrated evidence in driving product-market fit, establishing new business models, revenue growth, and scaling. E.g. You have been the CEO, President, COO, or GM of an early stage technology driven new business focused on consumers. 
  • Demonstrated experience in direct-to-consumer (D2C)
  • Experience developing and managing marketing budgets and delivering against customer acquisition targets, including customer acquistion costs (CAC), driving customer LTV, and managing within brand values.
  • Deep understanding of digital / social marketing (paid and organic); Omni-channel marketing
  • Proven experience in overseeing and/or leading design, testing & launch of web and mobile experiences that drive customer journeys in collaboration with creative and product/technology teams.

  • Excellent communicator, who can inspire others within the business, and represent the business externally as the chief evangelist.
