Objective:

Lead technical and sourcing support to Production, Process Engineering and RDI in all the activities and projects related to design, molds, tools and fixtures according to the procedures and quality standards.

Ensure that the equipment and tools used in production or any other operational process meet the required standards of quality and precision.

Please consider that the work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6am to 3:30pm

Main responsibilities:

• Implement projects related to molds and fixtures, including fabrication, adjustments and design support.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities performed by internal (precision technicians) and external personnel at Establishment Labs.
• Coordinating with the Tooling and Precision Sr Supervisor and their staff to ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality.  
• Additionally, the supervisor supports the training and development of the technicians to development them to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Execute assigned activities in compliance with Quality System guidelines, update and improve procedures and documents related to maintenance engineering.
• Monitor precision expenses to align with approved budgets.
• Support special projects, process, RDI, and Quality department initiatives as needed.
• Supervise modifications, corrections, fabrication, and repairs of tools as well as technical activities.
• Troubleshoot tooling and precision issues.
• Manage and administrate projects related to the design, molds, tools and fixtures.
• Create and update controlled documents related with tools, molds and fixtures.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering careers related to mechanics, industrial design, or similar (at least 80% completed)
• Solid understanding of mechanical drawings, and process flowcharts.
• Experience in the medical, food industry or Electronic industry in precision workshops dedicated to the manufacture of tools, molds, or high-volume production.
• Intermediate English Advanced English is desirable.
• Knowledge in SAP, Project Management, Solidworks, Autocad (This is desirable)
• 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising and leading teams.
