Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer - Access Control & CCTV

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer - Access Control & CCTV (REVIT/AUTOCAD Specific) in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced electronic security and life safety solutions for a variety of clients. The engineer will provide design, technical support, and pre-sales assistance for projects involving access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and other security systems. This position requires proficiency in Revit and CAD (AutoCAD) to develop accurate system designs and documentation. You will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success. The role is highly technical, involving the review of architectural and engineering plans, developing solution documentation, and supporting on-site implementations. This is a remote position with opportunities to contribute to high-value security projects and learn emerging technologies in the field.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and implement solutions for security system installations, upgrades, and conversions.
• Review architectural, electrical, telecommunication, and security engineering plans, riser drawings, device schedules, and detail drawings.
• Provide Revit-based system designs, CAD support, and create technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and solution summaries.
• Support internal and on-site team members with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Assist in preparing responses to RFIs/RFPs and contribute to project planning and client solutions.
• Stay current on emerging electronic security technologies and industry-leading vendors.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in electronic security design, installation, or engineering.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency in Revit with CAD (AutoCAD) for supporting system designs.
• Strong understanding of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related security technologies.
• Professional certifications or training preferred (Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Milestone, etc.).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, BlueBeam, and other design software preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize effectively.
