Pre-Match Trader – Esports (MOBA) (m/f/x)

• Have you live traded MOBA matches using in-house models, and are you comfortable setting market probabilities without using external odds?

• Do you have hands-on experience identifying underperforming live pricing models and manually correcting markets to maintain high uptime (95%+ for top-tier events)?

• Do you enjoy working with numbers and translating game knowledge into pricing decisions?

About the role

We are looking for a Pre-Match Trader with a strong passion for MOBA esports and a sharp numerical mindset. The role is part of the Pre-Event Esports Trading team, focused on delivering a high-quality pre-match product across the MOBA vertical.

You will also play a key role in shaping coverage strategy, ensuring consistent and high-quality market availability across all relevant events.

Requirements

What you will do 

• Compile odds and oversee pre-match pricing for MOBA events across all tiers

• Ensure consistency and accuracy of pre-match markets in line with trading strategy and pricing frameworks

• Own coverage planning and prioritization of tournaments and matches

• Identify and act on key factors impacting pricing, including meta shifts, roster changes, and patch updates

• Work closely with analytics to improve pricing tools, automation, and workflows

• Contribute insights on game mechanics, team performance, and tournament structures

Your skills will include

• 3+ years of experience in esports trading, ideally with a focus on MOBA titles

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to make sound pricing decisions based on available data and market context

• Structured thinking and a disciplined approach to pricing and market setup

• Solid understanding of MOBA games, including meta, patches, and team dynamics

• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and accountability

• Good stress management and ability to meet deadlines

• Upper-intermediate level of English or higher (B2+)

• Flexibility to work around global esports schedules

• Esports enthusiast

• Deep knowledge of esports, including game mechanics and intricacies, as well as the tournament aspect (tournaments, teams, their compositions, and results)

• Experience mentoring junior traders
