About the Role Clarvida isseekingan innovative and purpose‑driven individual to join our team as a Pre‑Licensed Therapist at our Bakersfield location. As a Pre‑Licensed Therapist, you will provide individual and group counseling services to clients with serious and persistent mental illness, helping clients toward greater independence and aiding their social, educational, vocational, and emotional development.Adult program.
Responsibilities
Ensure mental health treatment maximizes client independence and empowers families
Provide individual, group, and family therapy for clients across ages and needs
Assistclients with educational, social, and vocational goal planning and adjustment
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and support program development
Perform crisis intervention, teach educational or life‑skills classes, and do outreach when needed
Carry administrative tasks:maintaindocumentation, medical records, and meet productivity requirements
Transport clients or travel as necessary for community or clinic‑based work
Maintain HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries with clients and staff
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited school
Registered as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) in California
Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and proof of education
Minimum of two years’ experience working with mental health patients (inpatient or outpatient)
Direct clinical and case management experience; familiarity with rehabilitation philosophy
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Intermediate computer skills
