We believe exceptional veterinary care begins with clear communication. Our team is committed to helping clients understand their pet’s health concerns and treatment options, delivering care with compassion, transparency, and genuine dedication to every animal we see.

About the role

As our Veterinary Practice Manager, you will be a people-first leader who understands that a successful clinic is built on a supportive culture, strong teamwork, and well-designed systems — not just financial results.

Your primary focus will be creating an environment where team members feel valued, supported, and genuinely excited to come to work. By building efficient, sustainable processes and fostering a positive workplace culture, you will enable the clinic to run smoothly and effectively, allowing financial performance and profitability to naturally follow.

This role offers a balanced mix of working on and in the business. You’ll be actively involved in day-to-day clinic operations, including client engagement at reception, supporting the clinical team, identifying opportunities for improvement, and mentoring junior staff. For candidates with nursing experience, there is the option to assist with nursing duties, helping you stay connected to clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire a diverse team of veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to provide exceptional care.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, compassion, and professional development.
  • Lead all aspects of clinic operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring high standards of clinical efficiency and patient care.
  • General clinical Nursing duties, from Nurse consults through to surgery and anaesthesia monitoring
  • Manage budgets, and identify opportunities for growth and cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain high clinical and operational standards, complying with relevant regulations
  • Drive local marketing initiatives, build relationships with clients, and promote the practice within the local community.

About you

We’re looking for a people-first leader who excels at improving processes, reducing inefficiencies, and enhancing patient outcomes. Your ability to foster a positive, collaborative environment while driving continuous improvements will be key to your success in this role.

A few key things we need you to have some experience with:

  • Experience with people management and leadership
  • Take a big interest in upskilling of people at all levels
  • Understanding that great patient outcomes and experiences leads to great budget outcomes
  • A knack for looking at existing processes and find ways to streamline things without taking away from patient outcomes or safety
  • Good budget understanding and management
  • Take the safety of people and pets seriously
  • Experience in animal health would be great but isn’t a requirement.
