Summary
The Powerplant Analyst is responsible for planning the removal and installation of engines and APU, coordination of the movement of powerplants between Allegiant and repair shops, and coordinating between Powerplant Engineering, Fleet Planning, Materials, Component Repairs, Aircraft Records, and other departments that deal with powerplants. The Powerplant Analyst verifies installed parts and completed repair shop work scopes to assist the Engineering department as well as works closely with Maintenance, Fleet Planning, Records, Materials, and Stores in order to expedite requests to ensure limited operational interruptions. The Powerplant Analyst also liaisons with repair vendors to minimize engine and APU turnaround times. The Powerplant Analyst reports to the Powerplant Engineering Manager.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Aeronautics.
Years of Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience with powerplant or propulsion engineering.
•Ability and willingness to attend and successfully complete two-weeks of training in Las Vegas (expenses paid).
•Knowledge of and ability to understand and research FAA AD’s, Boeing, Airbus, and GE/CFM IPCs, Engine Manuals, Service Bulletins, Standard Practice Manuals, etc. that pertain to aircraft, engines, and APUs.
•Knowledge of and ability to research and audit engine records and generate disk sheets, non-incident statement letters, and AD summary sheets.
•Ability to locate, understand, and extract pertinent engine information from Allegiant ERPs.
•Ability to interface with multiple engine repair facilities, track engine repair progress/status, and provide timely team updates.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
•A&P license.
•Experience in engine planning or jet engine logistics.
Job Duties
•Work with Powerplant Engineering and Fleet Planning to execute and manage Allegiant’s plans for scheduled/unscheduled engine removals for the effective utilization of spare engines and APUs.
•Coordinate planned/unplanned engine removals with other maintenance plans, Powerplant Engineering, Line and Heavy Maintenance, and the engine and APU repair vendors.
•Issue Engine and APU removal report and status updates.
•Work with Powerplant Engineering to schedule inspections and repairs as needed for fleet health.
•Assist Powerplant Engineering in the preparation of vendor repair/overhaul instructions package.
•Monitor vendor turnaround time performance, coordinate shipments to and from vendors with other departments.
•Coordinate the build-up of engines and APUs with Line Maintenance as needed.
•Ensure stored engines, APUs, and related components status is updated per storage and preservation requirements.
•Assist the Aircraft Records Department in tracking engine life-limited parts.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.
•Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Powerplant Engineering.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
