As a Power Electronics Intern (Mechanical Design) at OmniOn Power, you will work with the R&D Engineering team supporting them in the product development and evaluation of new technologies for high-density and high-efficiency power supplies. This is an onsite role based in Plano, Texas.
This position reports to: R&D Senior Engineering Manager based in Plano, Texas
Your responsibilities:
· Participate in the product and technology projects on high-density power supplies
· Assist in modeling and designing of mechanical components and assemblies, and creating CAD drawings
· Assist in thermal design
· Support engineering prototype builds and conduct laboratory tests
· Present the technical results
Qualification/ requirements:
· Currently enrolled in a B.S, M.S or Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, in the US
· Must be currently authorized to work
· Experience in electronics packaging and/ or thermal design:
· Ability to learn quickly and work in teams
· Effective communication skills
