The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, creating Power BI dashboards and reports, and ensuring data accuracy and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business needs
• Connect to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.) and transform data using Power Query / Power BI Dataflows / DAX
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Optimize report performance and ensure data refresh reliability
• Develop and maintain datasets, data models, and relationships in Power BI
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and access control as needed
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Stay current with Power BI updates and recommend new features or improvements
• Support ad-hoc reporting requests and training for business users
• Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to ensure efficient data pipelines

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI

• Strong proficiency in:
  • Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
  • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language)
  • SQL (query writing and optimization)
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle)
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
