  • Framework and Process Development: Design and implement a comprehensive portfolio management framework and associated processes aligned with related Seeds Development portfolios. Develop methodologies, templates, and tools to support portfolio management activities, including project selection, prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including the functional leadership team, project managers, and teams, to understand their needs and expectations. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and the portfolio.
  • Evaluation and Selection: Establish criteria and methods for evaluating potential projects and initiatives. Develop a systematic approach for project selection, considering factors such as strategic alignment, business value, feasibility, and risk assessment.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Implement processes to effectively allocate resources, including budget and personnel across the IT portfolio. Optimize resource utilization to ensure efficient delivery and maximize return on investment.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track the progress, success, and value of projects within the portfolio.

  • Capability Building and Training: Identify skill gaps within the organization regarding portfolio management capabilities. Develop training programs, workshops, and resources to enhance the understanding and adoption of portfolio management principles and practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine portfolio management processes, methodologies, and tools. Seek feedback from stakeholders and actively incorporate lessons learned to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of portfolio management capabilities.
  • Industry and Best Practice Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in portfolio management. Share knowledge and insights with the team and leverage external resources to drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards related to portfolio management. Establish governance mechanisms to review and approve projects, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to established guidelines.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience establishing and maturing portfolio management capabilities in an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, accounting, project management) is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of portfolio management principles, including: strategic planning processes, financial management, risk management, governance frameworks, and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency designing and using portfolio management tools.
  • Ability to influence decisions through insightful portfolio analysis.
  • Ability to see the broad picture as well as drill into details.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams as well as independently.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information and accompanying recommendations clearly and concisely.
