The Red Gate Group is seeking a Policy SME - C-UXS to join our team and provide critical support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (ASW(SO/LIC)) in Arlington, VA. The ASW SO/LIC plays a vital role in overseeing Department of War (DoW) policies and plans related to special operations, including counterterrorism, information operations, irregular warfare, and counter-unmanned systems (C-UXS).

As a C-UXS Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting efforts to monitor, shape, and provide policy guidance for irregular warfare and other strategic activities, particularly in the realm of counter-unmanned systems. You will coordinate and prepare high-level meetings for senior defense officials, draft read-ahead packages, talking points, and meeting summaries, and track the progress of global C-UXS campaigns. Your role will also involve reviewing and overseeing the development of operational concepts and integrating these efforts with various Department of Defense, interagency, and intelligence community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to SOLIC’s efforts to guide and oversee irregular warfare and information operations, including preparing high-level meeting agendas, drafting read-ahead packages, and tracking meeting actions.
  • Monitor and assess global C-UXS prior-to-launch campaigns, advising on changes to policy guidance, operational plans, and intelligence activities.
  • Coordinate with uniformed planners and senior OSW leaders to address policy and resource implications of emerging operational concepts.
  • Integrate U.S. Special Operations Command’s plans and programs with key stakeholders across the DoD, interagency, and intelligence community by preparing essential briefings, talking points, and summaries for high-level forums.

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • At least five (5) years of experience within the Office of the Secretary of Defense/War (OSD), Joint Staff, Service, or Combatant Command Headquarters.
