Functional analyst will be responsible for requirement definition, functional design, custom development and technical support within the PLM Recipe Module. This role will be based in Pune. Organisationally part of the Enterprise applications support team, reporting into the Senior Functional Analyst for EHS. The team operates in a DevOps framework using agile principles.

Accountabilities:

Gather and frame business requirements, Application analysis and designing the optimal solutions that meet business needs. A critical part is to effectively work and proactively with business users as well as other IT teams to ensure that the changes including enhancements are implemented effectively. Participate in the project stages with accountability to understand, validate and value adding documentation of business needs. Work continuously in areas of optimizing services, processes, improving quality, reliability and lowering total costs. Provide training and guidance to end users on PLM recipe module usage and best practices. Recommend system enhancements and process improvements based on user feedback and issue trends.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize recipe management processes in Product Lifecycle Management system
  • Configure and maintain recipe management solutions, recipe specifications, formulations and ingredient databases
  • Implement recipe version control and change management
  • Coordinate with EHS for Regulatory data
  • Ensure product safety and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain raw material databases and specifications
  • Validate recipe calculations and process parameters
  • Ensure recipe configurations meet business and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor system performance and resolve functional issues in the PLM environment.
  • Troubleshoot errors in recipe development, specification management, and related workflows.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve system bugs and integration failures
  • Manage Integration, batch jobs and idoc/output processing
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of chemical safety regulations (REACH, GHS)
  • Hands on Experience with PLM system
  • Expertise in chemical formulation and process calculations
  • Understanding of batch and continuous processing
  • Knowledge of chemical engineering unit operations
  • Strong problem solving and teamwork with ability to work in minimal supervision.
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile framework with knowledge on ITIL processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in PLM Recipe Management
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
  • Experience with data migration and system integration

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
