ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Business Systems team designs, builds, and maintains internal systems, applications, and infrastructure across the enterprise. Whether architecting infrastructure for complex warfighting simulations, helping the sales team track deals, or powering critical cloud services, the Business Systems team of engineers are there to support. We are looking for a PLM Engineering Manager to lead our team developing Teamcenter customizations and integrations.

WHAT YOU"LL DO:

  • Manage a team of Teamcenter developers and solution engineers - Hire, coach, and grow talent. Set expectations, provide feedback, and create development plans. Build team processes and standards that influence how Teamcenter development is done across the organization.
  • Own the technical roadmap for Teamcenter customizations - Partner with stakeholders to turn requirements into executable development plans for ITK, BMIDE, SOA, Workflows, Dispatcher, and AWC. Guide technical decisions and architecture for integrations with downstream systems (ERP, MES, etc.).
  • Allocate resources and prioritize work across multiple Teamcenter projects. Balance team capacity against business priorities, navigating competing demands from Engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical Teamcenter technical issues - Dive deep into deployment, configuration, and support problems. Ensure code quality and engineering excellence through standards for code review, testing, and documentation.
  • Translate technical complexity into business impact - Communicate clearly with engineers and business leaders about what your team is building and why it matters. Build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Oversee team budget and vendor relationships - Track spending, forecast costs, manage Teamcenter vendor contracts. Lead initiatives that improve system performance, user adoption, or integration reliability.
  • What Success Looks Like
  • Team consistently delivers Teamcenter customizations and integrations on time with high quality
  • Team members are growing - you've helped people level up their skills or take on new responsibilities
  • Stakeholders trust your judgment on technical trade-offs and prioritization
  • Teamcenter system availability and performance meet SLAs
  • Engineering users are getting value - adoption is increasing and critical workflows are supported
  • You've established processes or standards that other teams have adopted

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years leading or managing technical teams - Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering talent
  • Deep hands-on experience with Teamcenter customization - ITK, BMIDE, SOA, Workflows, Dispatcher, and AWC. Strong software engineering fundamentals - you can still code and architect solutions when needed.
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter integrations with downstream systems (ERP, MES, etc.). Understanding of databases, server management, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical trade-offs by evaluating multiple factors and broader organizational context. Strong judgment in balancing short-term needs with long-term architecture.
  • Exceptional communication skills - explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and business needs to engineers. Build strong relationships across teams.
  • Understanding of how Teamcenter impacts engineering business outcomes - communicating business impact of technical work.
  • Experience managing across functions or matrixed reporting lines in large enterprise environments with high-availability requirements.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • U.S. Person status required (export control)
  • Ability to be in-office 3-5 days/wk, 10% travel
