PLCs Technical Service Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Technical Service Engineer with expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining automated machinery, ensuring optimal operational performance, and providing technical support to minimize downtime. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our automated systems and machinery. Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot Automated Machinery: Diagnose and resolve issues with malfunctioning automated systems and machinery, utilizing PLCs and related control systems.
  • PLC Programming & Maintenance: Perform programming, troubleshooting, and modification of PLC systems to ensure proper functionality and continuous operation of machinery.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement and oversee preventive maintenance schedules, including inspections, adjustments, and replacements of mechanical, electrical, and control system components.
  • System Optimization: Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and proposing improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site or remote technical support to production teams and clients, ensuring quick resolution of equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Prepare comprehensive reports for management on machine performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Training & Support: Assist in the training of operators and junior engineers on machine operation, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth integration of new technologies and adherence to safety standards.
  • Parts Management: Ensure the proper inventory of essential spare parts, ordering replacements as needed to maintain uninterrupted machine functionality.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
