Platform Solution Engineer

We are seeking a talented and hands-on Platform Solution Engineer with a strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will own the lifecycle and technical integrity of a globally distributed API Gateway platform, aligned with CAMARA and Open Gateway standards. 

You will coordinate closely with Cloud SREs, Software and Telco architects, Security and operator partners to ensure consistent platform configuration, seamless integration and efficient onboarding of customers and mobile network operators. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Take ownership of and oversee the design, configuration and evolution of the global API Gateway platform. 
  • Lead API integration and onboarding efforts with mobile operators and partners, supporting Operator API Platforms such as Network Exposure Platform (NEP) and Network Exposure Function (NEF). 
  • Collaborate with Cloud SRE teams and the vendors on deployment planning, configuration management and operational readiness. 
  • Define and maintain configuration standards, automation guidelines and process documentation for consistent platform management. 
  • Partner with Software, Telco and Security architects to shape design blueprints, authentication standards and policy compliance. 
  • Drive the sourcing, validation and onboarding of new APIs, ensuring seamless exposure through the gateway. 
  • Oversee partner and customer onboarding, including provisioning, configuration governance and lifecycle management. 
  • Contribute to the global platform roadmap, ensuring scalability, resilience and adherence to technical and business requirements. 
  • Promote observability, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across environments in close coordination with operational teams. 

 Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps or platform engineering functions. 
  • Strong programming experience in Python, Go, Node.js or Java. 
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP) and distributed systems principles. 
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm or Ansible. 
  • Hands-on exposure to API management platforms and Telco Operator exposure systems (NEP, NEF). 
  • Strong grasp of API security, authentication and authorization using standards such as OAuth2 and OIDC. 
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and documentation skills to work effectively across cross-functional global teams. 
  • Knowledge of CAMARA, Open Gateway and broader Telco API ecosystems. 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration and service mesh solutions. 
  • Background in building or maintaining SDKs, developer portals or onboarding automation tools. 
  • Exposure to AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP) for intelligent or context-aware API integrations. 
  • Experience implementing observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). 
  • Understanding of GitOps, CI/CD pipelines and multi-region deployments. 
  • Familiarity with edge computing, data exposure frameworks or network-level service enablement.
