Our Platform Quality Engineering team partners closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Product Engineering to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and resilience under real-world workloads.

As a Platform QE Manager, you will focus on validating how the platform behaves at scale, ensuring multi-tenant SaaS stability, upgrade safety, and non-functional excellence as the platform evolves.

What will you be responsible for?

• Own end-to-end platform quality outcomes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and stability across SaaS and customer-hosted deployments
• Define and execute a platform quality strategy aligned to SaaS scale, multi-tenancy, and infrastructure evolution
• Drive non-functional quality leadership, including:
  • Performance (P95/P99 latency, throughput)
  • Scalability (load, stress, capacity limits)
  • Reliability (failover, recovery, resilience)
  • Chaos testing (node, network, dependency failures)
• Validate platform behavior across:
  • Kubernetes-based deployments
  • Service mesh (Istio) and API gateway
  • Core platform services (auth, async jobs, notifications, logging)
• Ensure tenant isolation and noisy-neighbor impact validation in multi-tenant SaaS environments
• Own platform upgrade and deployment quality, including:
  • Backward compatibility
  • Data migration integrity
  • Configuration drift across environments
• Establish and govern continuous testing and QAOps practices for platform validation, including:
  • Production-like environments
  • CI/CD quality gates
  • Observability-driven validation (logs, metrics, traces)
• Drive platform-level automation strategy across API, performance, and resilience testing
• Provide platform readiness inputs to release certification, ensuring production-safe releases
• Analyze production incidents, performance degradations, and instability patterns, and drive preventive quality improvements
• Track and publish platform quality metrics (latency, stability, failure rates, incident trends) to guide engineering and leadership decisions
• Partner with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Product teams to identify and resolve systemic platform issues without impacting delivery velocity
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QE engineers focused on distributed systems, performance engineering, and reliability validation
• Influence architecture and design decisions to improve testability, scalability, and resilience outcomes
• Drive AI-assisted QE initiatives for performance analysis, anomaly detection, and intelligent regression optimization

What do we require? (Must Have)

• 10–14 years of experience in Quality Engineering with strong exposure to SaaS platforms and distributed systems
• Proven experience in non-functional testing:
  performance, scalability, reliability, chaos engineering
• Strong expertise in API and service-level automation (Python-based frameworks preferred)
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar)
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and service mesh (Istio)
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platform behavior under load
• Experience integrating quality practices into CI/CD pipelines and QAOps workflows
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills for production-scale issues
• Experience working with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, tracing systems)
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and environment troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts (TLS, DNS, load balancing)
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to translate platform quality risks into business impact

What do we desire?

• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and hyperscaler environments
• Exposure to chaos engineering frameworks and reliability validation tools
• Experience with contract testing and service-level validation strategies
• Familiarity with AI-driven test optimization, anomaly detection, or quality intelligence
• Strong understanding of high-availability systems and distributed system failure modes
