Platform Engineer (Kubernetes + Automation)

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Platform Engineer (Kubernetes + Automation) to join the Core Platform Engineering Team responsible for the end to end operation, automation, and enhancement of a large scale hybrid server estate supporting business critical workloads. This is a mixed engineering role where team members contribute across fulfilment, implementation, platform maintenance, automation, and continuous improvement activities.

What you will do:

• Deliver engineering, fulfilment, and operational tasks across the Core Platform.
• Operate and maintain large scale Kubernetes environments.
• Perform hands on implementation and configuration changes.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Ansible, GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins.
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous improvement across the platform.
• Contribute to platform maintenance, automation initiatives, and service enhancements.
• Support an “everyone does everything” team culture and remain flexible for weekend changes when required.

• Strong Kubernetes expertise in large scale environments.
• Solid automation experience using tools such as Python and Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and container ecosystem.
• Experience operating and supporting large server estates preferred.
• Ability to work across fulfilment, operations, implementation, and improvement activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills in hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience working in collaborative engineering teams with shared responsibilities.
