Plant Manager ( Metal Fabrication Experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager with a proven track record in production or plant management, ideally within the metal fabrication and integration industry or a closely related field. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive operational excellence, improve manufacturing processes, and manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management & Production Planning
  • Oversee all plant operations, including production, scheduling, maintenance, and inventory control to meet company goals.
  • Develop and implement production plans, ensuring that output meets customer demand and quality expectations.
  • Drive productivity and efficiency by optimizing workflows, minimizing downtime, and reducing waste.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support career development for plant personnel.
  • Promote open communication and foster a positive, productive work environment that encourages high morale and accountability.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Lead safety training initiatives, conduct regular inspections, and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to manage risks, conduct audits, and maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Implement and uphold quality control processes to maintain product standards and minimize defects.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and improve product quality.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) and Engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Manage plant budgets and work with senior management to set cost control goals, identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory of raw materials, ensuring timely availability for production while managing costs.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with senior management, sales, and other departments to align plant operations with company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Prepare regular reports on production metrics, safety, quality, and cost efficiency to communicate plant performance.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer audits, facility tours, and inspections, representing the plant’s commitment to quality and safety.
