We are looking for a highly motivated, and passionate, PHY system engineer for the design, implementation, and integration of advanced cellular communication systems for our next generation base-station products.
What you'll do:
Leading PHY activities from feature development to integration.
Focal point for all PHY and RF-related aspects.
Defining and writing system-level requirements.
Continuously optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to enhance the performance and efficiency of base-station products.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PHY components with software, digital signal processing (DSP), and other subsystems.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the PHY team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Hands-on Lab work
What you should have:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – mandatory!
Deep understanding of Wireless communication systems.
Working experience with RF lab test equipment
Good understanding of RX and TX PHY and RF chains.
Solid experience with scripting language (such as MATLAB or Python)
Very good system-level understanding within a multi-disciplinary environment (HW, SW, RF)
2-3 years of experience in wireless communication/ PHY layer development or integration - Advantage!
Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English (written and verbal), team player and ability to thrive in a global multi-site environment.
Nice to have:
Involvement in research and development projects related to emerging wireless technologies, such as Massive MIMO and beamforming
Solid knowledge in the physical layer specifications of 4G/5G
