We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer with strong engineering skills, practical experience with Temporal and RoadRunner, and a solid background in open-source contributions.

You will join a short-term engagement (80 hours total) to support the development of the Temporal PHP SDK. Your work will focus on expanding the SDK’s functionality, improving its overall developer experience, and collaborating with the community and maintainers as needed.

What You Will Do

 

  • Add new features to the Temporal PHP SDK, including writing tests and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the community and help resolve user issues.
  • Participate in periodic planning and discussions regarding future improvements.

 

We Are Looking For

  • Solid, hands-on software engineering experience.
  • User-level understanding of Temporal and RoadRunner.
  • Open-source experience: maintaining projects, contributing, or publishing libraries/frameworks.
  • Ability to navigate and work within complex codebases.
  • Experience building persistent (“non-dying”) PHP applications with solid memory management practices.
  • Experience writing asynchronous code.
  • Ability to create clear and helpful technical documentation.
  • High level of independence and self-management.
  • Persistence and a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • English proficiency at B1+.
