Phlebotomist

***Temporary Certified Phlebotomy Technician*** ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: 4 months with the possibility of an extension

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, This position may require you provide staffing coverage at any other health facility, as needed. Valid clean and clear Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and label samples for laboratory testing
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during blood collection
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and ensure cleanliness
• Document and record patient information and procedures accurately
• Communicate effectively with patients about the blood draw process
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and compliance protocols within the healthcare setting

Requirements

EXPERIENCE: Preferred 1-2 years medical laboratory experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Proficient in medical terminology.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS: Phlebotomy Certification – Current California State Phlebotomy Licensure and Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Valid clean and clear Drivers License required.

Benefits

$27.93-$34.00/hr depending on experience.
