Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Remote VA. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, all while working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications and over-the-counter products.
• Verify and enter prescription information into the pharmacy system accurately.
• Manage and maintain medication inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
• Provide support to patients regarding medication instructions, use, and side effects.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and policies.
• Prepare medication orders and manage prescription refills efficiently.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certified pharmacy technician preferred.
• Previous experience working as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Proficient in using pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
