Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join a growing plaintiff-side law practice in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a mid-level attorney with approximately 5–6 years of litigation experience who is confident managing cases independently while working collaboratively with senior attorneys and partners.

This position offers substantial courtroom exposure, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to handle complex and high-value matters in a fast-moving legal environment. The selected candidate must be licensed in Texas and capable of leading cases from initial filing through final resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a full caseload from client intake through settlement or trial
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents
• Conduct depositions, attend mediations, and argue hearings in Houston-area courts
• Develop case strategy in coordination with partners and legal team members
• Maintain consistent client communication and provide case status updates
• Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively on behalf of plaintiffs
• Support junior associates and assist in trial preparation when necessary

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• 5–6 years of civil litigation experience, preferably on the plaintiff side
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently
• Strong courtroom presence and deposition experience
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

Preferred Experience

• Catastrophic injury or high-value claims
• Trial preparation and second-chair or first-chair experience
• Discovery strategy and complex motion practice
• Insurance defense counter-litigation experience (plaintiff rebuttal strategy)
