What we're looking for

We’re looking for a performance marketing expert who has led media buying and strategy across a variety of channels, working directly for a brand and ideally also for an agency. This role will manage our paid agency team of 10+ media buyers and creatives on a day-to-day basis, and experiment with new and innovative channels as the primary strategist and media buyer. This person will responsible for developing full-funnel digital campaign strategies to support key seasonal moments and large 360 brand campaigns, and report on the impact of these initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter that can operate as a one-person performance team with the support of a creative and hard-working marketing team. With performance marketing at the core of Songfinch’s growth strategy, this role will have a direct impact on the company’s continued success.

How you'll make an impact

  • Paid Agency Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for our paid marketing agency, ensuring their strategies align with our goals, and holding them accountable to impactful results 
  • Unlock new performance channels: Continuously explore and experiment with new paid advertising channels, including but not limited to social media advertising (TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest), search engine marketing (SEM and SEO), display advertising, and offline marketing. 
  • Measurement and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to assess ROI and make data-driven decisions.  Manage and allocate the experimental channel marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI and achieve growth targets.
  • Digital Marketing Campaign Strategy: In conjunction with the Integrated Marketing Team and the paid agency; develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive performance marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and brand awareness.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize the website and landing pages for improved conversion rates and newly acquired user experience.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to align performance marketing efforts with compelling content and creative to enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Be accountable: Not only by executing the responsibilities above, but also by asking for help when you need it.

What you'll bring to the table

  • 5+ years of performance marketing experience; ideally including experience working for a brand and agency. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Expert level understanding of paid social advertising with experience scaling paid ads on Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, and TikTok.
  • Experience experimenting with new channels and creative strategies in the industry.
  • Strong analytic capabilities including mastery of google analytics and UTM structures.
  • Strong understanding of marketing tech, specifically pixel proficiency, and ability to work with engineers to ensure there are effective data pipelines in place for reporting. 
  • A self starter who is comfortable being a team of one, but can still collaborate and operate within a larger marketing team. 
  • Great organizational skills with ability to organize creative and ads to drive actionable insights.
