About the Role:

We’re looking for a People Systems Manager to help build and run the engine that powers Robinhood’s HR and Payroll systems. This role is both strategic and highly operational, combining hands-on technical execution with people leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The right candidate is a true player-coach who enjoys being deep in the systems while also leading and developing a team. You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and optimizing People systems and integrations that support Robinhood’s growth, global expansion, and evolving workforce needs. You will bring structure and scale to complex problems while maintaining speed, quality, and a strong customer mindset.

You will partner closely with HR, Recruiting, Compensation, Finance, Engineering, and Legal to evolve our Workday ecosystem, improve the employee and manager experience, and help define the future roadmap for People Systems, including the thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools.

What You Will Do:

  • Own and evolve Robinhood’s core People Systems, with a primary focus on Workday, operating across both functional and technical domains.
  • Act as a hands-on technical leader, driving configuration, integrations, and solution design while guiding team execution.
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of full-time employees and contractors, fostering strong technical ownership, accountability, and growth.
  • Partner with HR, Recruiting, Compensation, Finance, and Engineering to translate business needs into scalable, reliable system solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations across the People technology stack, with deep ownership of EIB-based integrations and preferred experience with Workday Studio.
  • Drive major initiatives such as worker and vendor management system implementations, Workday enhancements, and continued investment in Workday Extend.
  • Support international growth and M&A by enabling scalable People systems for new geographies and greenfield expansions.
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineering partners to explore, prototype, and shape AI-driven capabilities across HR systems.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure new systems and processes land smoothly with employees and the People team.
  • Establish and contribute to a long-term People Systems roadmap that balances immediate operational needs with future-state architecture.
  • Maintain a high bar for data quality, security, privacy, and compliance across all People systems.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years of progressive People Systems or HRIS experience, including 2+ years of people management experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday experience with strong technical depth, including required experience with Core HCM.
  • Proven experience building and supporting Workday integrations, with EIB experience required and Workday Studio experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse and/or Ashby.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional partnership skills, with the ability to work effectively across HR, Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve and speed matters.
  • Curiosity and interest in AI, automation, and emerging HR technologies, with the ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts pragmatically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a bias toward action.
