Position Summary:

Are you passionate about creating great employee experiences and helping people thrive at work? As a People Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping how employees experience our company—from their very first day and beyond. You will play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on onboarding, recruiting support, employee experience, benefits administration, and employee communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the welcoming face of our company by coordinating and managing the full new-hire onboarding experience, ensuring every employee feels supported and excited from day one
  • Lead new hire orientations and serve as a go-to People Team partner during the onboarding journey
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, answering questions and providing guidance on People programs, policies, and processes
  • Help bring our culture to life by supporting employee communications such as newsletters, announcements, and engagement initiatives
  • Partner with the People Team to foster a positive, values-driven workplace culture
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness offerings
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, life-event changes, and general questions, including supporting annual open enrollment and employee education efforts
  • Provide recruiting support by scheduling candidate interviews, conducting initial interview screens and helping create a smooth candidate experience
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, including entering pre-hire information for new employees
  • Assist with updating policies and maintaining HR documentation to ensure clarity and compliance
  • Contribute to HR reporting, projects, and special initiatives that help the People Team continuously improve

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR specialist role
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Preferred

  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
  • Benefits administration experience
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or progress toward certification)
  • Experience supporting a growing or fast-paced organization
