As we continue expanding our Point-of-Sale (POS) offering in Germany, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset. We’re looking for a proactive, empathetic People Partner to help cultivate an engaging, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture as we grow. 

As a People Partner at Flatpay, you will be a key pillar in supporting our employees and leadership to build a thriving work environment. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on employee relations, German labor law, and organizational development. This is an onsite position, with 5 days presence in office required.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a trusted partner to leaders, providing coaching and support on a wide range of people-related matters.
  • Develop and deliver pragmatic workshops, training sessions, and initiatives aimed at strengthening leadership capabilities and communication.
  • Provide expert knowledge on German labor law and ensure compliance across the organization without losing sight of business goals.
  • Act as a liaison to address concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and career development conversations.
  • Analyze People data and feedback to recommend and implement continuous improvements in policies, processes, and culture.
  • Promote Flatpay’s values and mission through proactive communication and employee support.

Who you are

  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep knowledge of German labor law and practical experience applying it in startups.
  • Experienced in designing and facilitating workshops for leadership and teams.
  • Problem-solver who is proactive, empathetic, and confident working independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and managing multiple priorities finding a good balance between quality and speed.
