Tecovas is looking for a People Operations Intern to support our People Team by enhancing the overall office experience and keeping key employee data and reporting accurate and up to date. With the support of the People team, you will own impactful projects, attend regular team meetings, and receive dedicated project guidance to ensure you leave the internship feeling more confident, connected, and proud of what you’ve accomplished.

This position is based out of Austin, TX, with regular in-office attendance expected. Must be available for the full duration of the internship (12 weeks)

Please note that this internship opportunity is available only to current and active Tecovas employees. If you are not a Tecovas employee, you will not be considered for this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the office experience by helping with day-to-day HQ needs and employee-facing details.
  • Maintain and update employee data in Paycom to ensure records are accurate and organized.
  • Run regular headcount reports and assist with tracking and reporting for the People Team.
  • Audit employee files and information ahead of the quarterly discount code reset.
  • Help update and refresh new hire onboarding (NHO) materials and decks as needed.
  • Support the maintenance and ongoing optimization of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Greenhouse.
  • Assist with HQ new hire onboarding and orientation logistics, including scheduling, first-day support, and I-9 verification coordination.
  • Support People Team communications by drafting requests, creating/scheduling LinkedIn + Handshake content, and more

Experience we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong calendaring and organizational skills.
  • An interest in data analysis, business acumen, and general human resources best practices.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the Austin, TX area 
  • Must be available to work up to 32 hours per week, Monday - Friday (between the hours of 8AM-5PM CST)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly 
  • Internship program culminates with a presentation to our leadership team summarizing your experience at Tecovas with key takeaways and feedback regarding the program.
