🙌 Your Mission

In this 6-month temporary role, your mission is to provide stability and continuity within the People function. You will support the seamless execution of day-to-day People operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring documentation remains accurate, processes remain structured, and employees continue to receive timely and professional support.

This role is critical in maintaining operational discipline, safeguarding confidentiality, reducing risk, and preventing disruption to core People processes. Through strong attention to detail and reliable execution, you will enable the wider People team to maintain focus and momentum.

This is a detail-critical, execution-focused role. Success requires consistency, discretion, responsiveness, and strong organisational discipline.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ People Operations & Documentation Support

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation and coordination of required documentation.
  • Support maintenance of complete, accurate, and up-to-date employee records (digital and physical).
  • Support updates within HR systems and internal tracking tools to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing standard employment letters and documentation.
  • Support tracking of probation confirmations, leave records, and key documentation timelines.
  • Support adherence to internal policies and documentation standards.
  • Respond to employee queries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex matters appropriately.

2️⃣ Confidentiality & Data Integrity

  • Support secure handling of sensitive employee information.
  • Maintain structured and organized filing systems to ensure confidentiality and accessibility.
  • Support compliance with internal data protection standards and documentation protocols.

3️⃣ Administrative & Office Management Support

  • Support smooth day-to-day office administration and coordination.
  • Assist in organizing onboarding logistics, internal meetings, and People-related sessions.
  • Support vendor coordination for office services and facilities-related matters.
  • Maintain structured administrative processes to ensure operational consistency.

4️⃣ Employee Experience Coordination

  • Support organization of engagement initiatives and internal People communications.
  • Assist in ensuring employees receive timely information and structured support.
  • Contribute to maintaining a professional, responsive, and reliable People experience.

By the end of this 6-month engagement:

  • Employee lifecycle processes continue smoothly with no operational gaps.
  • All employee documentation and data are accurate, complete, and consistently maintained.
  • Sensitive information is handled with discretion and in line with internal standards.
  • Employees receive timely, clear, and professional support for People-related queries.
  • Office and administrative processes remain structured and reliable.
  • The People function remains organised, responsive, and trusted throughout the coverage period.

Requirements

🔥 Must-Have Requirements

  • Approximately 2+ years’ experience in HR, People Operations, or an administrative support role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting employee lifecycle processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of organisational discipline.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with maturity and discretion.
  • Strong communication skills with a responsive working style.
  • Experience supporting office administration and coordination.
  • Ability to prioritise and maintain structure in a fast-paced environment.

At a starting point we are excited about: Building Remittances 2.0 - we know remittance fees are a race to the bottom and believe the current model has some things that need to be changed. Enabling credit - for senders sending money back to Africa so they don’t have to wait till they get their paycheck at the end of the month. Building infrastructure - enabling payments infrastructure locally in Africa. Building a community of African diaspora helping us build an incredible product together.
