Areas You’ll Own

Recruitment – Support Juniper’s hiring efforts by assisting across the recruitment lifecycle, helping to ensure a thoughtful, efficient, and people-first candidate experience.

People Team Admin & Projects – Own and support People Operations projects by creating, updating, and maintaining internal resources such as employee FAQs, policies, onboarding guides, templates, and ad hoc administrative documentation. This area focuses on improving the People team’s processes and workflows to ensure efficient, scalable, and well-organized People Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sourcing and screening candidates, while also supporting various stages of the recruitment process
- Shadow and support screening interviews, learning Juniper’s candidate evaluation approach
- Lead the development and launch of a centralized employee FAQ resource
- Review, update, and improve People documentation including policies and guides
- Support onboarding and off-boarding processes, including platform setup and documentation
- Build and maintain People Operations templates, trackers, and a master administrative People calendar
- Assist with engagement initiatives and team culture activities
- Identify inefficiencies in People Operations processes and propose practical improvements
- Support day-to-day People Team admin and respond to basic employee inquiries
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Co-op program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Comfortable working with digital tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and HRIS platforms (BambooHR) – asset, not required
- Ability to take initiative, ask thoughtful questions, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced, growing environment

At Juniper, our compensation philosophy is to offer fair pay that reflects the scope of the role, level of impact, individual experience, and the current stage of the company.
The salary range for this role is $21-23/hour CAD.
Our compensation is benchmarked against the market and aligned to role scope and experience. We believe in fair and consistent pay practices, and offers are made using defined role criteria. As a learning-focused role, this position also offers hands-on exposure to People Operations, recruitment, and employee experience in a growing organization.
