People Advisor Austria (m/f/d)

TLDR

Oversee all aspects of HR operations while supporting local implementations of global People initiatives and improving employee engagement at one of the fastest growing sports media/tech companies.

 

As People Advisor for Austria, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, and own the end-to-end People matters, including for example local implementations of global People initiatives, Culture, Values and Engagement agendas, compliance for all global policies and local law / policies, local learning and local leadership and employees coaching/guidance. You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services and programs to support the organization's goals and objectives.

 

 

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Support effective collaboration with Divisional People Partners, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and People Operations by contributing to processes and ways of working where applicable.
  • Assist in implementing changes and improvements within the people teams.
  • Provide support to Talent Acquisition by helping to identify and connect with local stakeholders for recruitment activities.
  • Collaborate with the People Counsel team when required.
  • Act as a contract person for basic employee relations topics, supporting the handling of matters such as conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and grievances.
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process for employees on-site, working closely with line managers, the Talent Acquisition team, local IT contacts, and divisional stakeholders to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Support payroll administration and employment contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Help maintain relationships with local employment-related institutions such as labor offices and social insurance providers, and ensure employee data is updated in line with contractual changes and internal processes.
  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations, supporting the alignment of HR practices with local legislation.
  • Work with Compliance, Risk, and People teams to help maintain data integrity and support the rollout of required trainings.
  • Assist in coordinating local Health and Safety compliance activities.
  • Support the local implementation of People Strategy initiatives, including Talent and Learning & Development programs.
  • Work with local functional teams to understand business needs and help translate them into people-related actions, including contributing to culture and engagement initiatives.
  • Actively drive organization and delivery of CSR and DEI activities locally. Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, satisfaction and retention, and help gather employee feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for performance management processes, including goal setting and review cycles.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, liaising with vendors, brokers, and the People Operations team as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating local training sessions and development programs to support employee growth.
  • Provide support on relocation processes, including coordination with internal teams such as Legal and external immigration partners where applicable

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor´s/Master´s degree in HRM or related field, or experience equivalent 
  • Basic knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations specific to the country
  • Customer in centricity, high-level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR software applications.
  • German and English fluent

The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
