We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing environments—ideally within aerospace or marine/boat manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in component-level testing and troubleshooting, along with the ability to support production, repair, and new product introduction initiatives.
This role requires hands-on technical capability, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in environments that support Department of Defense and U.S. Military programs.
Qualifications
Test Engineering experience within a manufacturing company (aerospace or marine/boat manufacturing strongly preferred)
Proven experience performing troubleshooting and testing down to the component level
Strong analog and digital troubleshooting capabilities
Experience with software programming or diagnostics to aid in system troubleshooting
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical discipline required)
Minimum 8 years of direct industry experience as an Engineer (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Ability to work onsite
U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available)
Responsibilities
Lead all production and repair test activities for assigned products
Design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods across product development and manufacturing phases
Prepare test and diagnostic programs
Design and develop test fixtures and equipment
Author and edit procedures through formal change management processes
Establish test plans in collaboration with operations teams and support production test cell throughput
Transition test solutions between manufacturing sites during product transfers or acquisitions
Present program status updates, capital requests, and continuous improvement initiatives to leadership
Proactively communicate operational and technical risks and opportunities within the business unit
Provide regular performance and project updates to the Engineering Manager
Interface effectively with managers, technicians, and cross-functional teams
Tailor technical communication appropriately to varying audiences
Support production build plans through hands-on technical leadership
Thrive in environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities
Drive short-term responsiveness while progressing long-term engineering initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency efforts
