About Megaport
We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 350 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.
Our Team Culture
We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.
Your Role
Megaport’s Global People & Culture team is growing, and we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Coordinator to support our small and mighty People & Culture team.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced role that offers exposure to global HR practices and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic (fun), forward-thinking (not boring) and dedicated (we love our work) P&C team.
This will suit someone early in their career who has had exposure to either Human Resources or Talent Acquisition and is looking to build a meaningful career in the people space. You’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional employee experiences while supporting the wider team through HR initiatives.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the P&C Director, this role will support the global People & Culture (P&C) function.
Support the team in providing timely general advice and guidance to employees and managers on day-to-day P&C matters.
Monitor and respond to enquiries in the People & Culture inbox, ensuring a high standard of service and accurate information.
Support the P&C team and wider business with employee lifecycle processes, including position changes, variation letters, and parental leave documentation.
Support the rollout of our global DEI, wellbeing, and employee experience initiatives, from coordinating health and safety activities, to helping run pulse surveys, onboarding/offboarding feedback, and fun wellbeing events that make Megaport an energising, inclusive, and genuinely great place to work.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of P&C operations, processes, HR systems, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Ensure global employee data is accurate and up to date in our HRIS, Workday and assist with Workday-related support, including JIRA ticket creation and management for the Workday project, escalating issues to the HRIS System Specialist when required.
Support the Talent Acquisition team on an as-needed basis throughout the end-to-end recruitment process, contributing to a positive candidate experience and helping to bring top talent into Megaport.
What we are looking for
Around 1–2 years of experience in a coordination or administrative role, with exposure to HR or Talent Acquisition.
A strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
A creative thinker with curiosity and a passion for continuously improving the way we retain and support our people.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams and regions.
A proactive, can-do attitude, with high energy and enthusiasm for helping people and supporting company growth.
