TEAM
Managing employee payroll is a complex and time-consuming task, but vital to employee happiness and success by ensuring payroll for all employees is accurate and paid on time. Our payroll team manages over 1300+ individual payroll processes and 1,800+ attendance records every month with the help of 4 team members. As a team we emphasize close communication and collaboration to ensure our payroll processes are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for managing new joiners and leavers information within Payroll System, annual year-end tax adjustments, providing employee support regarding taxes and social insurance, reviewing various statutory procedures, and ensuring the quality improvement and compliance of payroll-related processes. You will report to the Senior.
Note: While monthly payroll calculation itself will not be your direct responsibility, deep knowledge of payroll calculation is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
・Payroll System Onboarding/Offboarding Management for Joiners and Leavers
・Checking information entered by employees into the system
・Following up on necessary corrections
・Overall Support and Management of Year-End Tax Adjustment Operations (Nenmatsu Chosei)
・Confirming workflow with payroll vendors
・Creating and distributing communications to employees
・Tracking and reminding employees who have not submitted documents
・Holding individual consultation sessions for employees
・Responding to Employee Inquiries regarding Taxes and Social Insurance
・Providing guidance on income tax, residential tax, social insurance, changes in dependent status, etc.
・Liaison and Coordination with Payroll and Social Security Attorney Vendors
・Supporting issue resolution and process improvement
・Audit Response and Compliance Support
・Preparing necessary documents and improving internal control processes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Practical knowledge of payroll calculation (actual experience in monthly calculation is a plus)
5+ years of practical experience in payroll operations or at a social/labor law firm
Strong understanding of year-end tax adjustments, social insurance, and income tax
Experience in operating a payroll system (Dayforce, ADP, etc., is welcome)
Accuracy and attention to detail
High communication skills for employee interaction
Strong sense of confidentiality and compliance
English communication skills (reading and writing)
NICE TO HAVES
Work experience in a global company or shared services
Work experience in Human Resources
Experience in process improvement and vendor management
Accounting/financial knowledge related to payroll payment
