Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team. In this role, you will manage the ticketing system and inbox, ensuring that queries are assigned to the appropriate team members efficiently and accurately. While a background in payroll is not required, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent communication are essential. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Payroll processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees. Verify and input employee hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. 
  • Reporting: Support the payroll team in audits, compliance checks, and financial reconciliations. Generate payroll reports and summaries for management and internal customer. 
  • Ticket Management: Monitor, track, and manage the ticketing system, ensuring queries are assigned to the correct team members in a timely manner. 
  • Inbox Oversight: Review and prioritize incoming emails, forwarding them to the appropriate Payroll team members for resolution. 
  • Task Prioritization: Evaluate the urgency of incoming requests and organize assignments accordingly to meet deadlines. Assist in reviewing and improving payroll processes for efficiency. 
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between team members, ensuring clear and efficient communication of assigned tasks and queries. Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy 
  • Data Entry and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of incoming requests, actions taken, and outcomes for reporting purposes.  
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and propose solutions to improve efficiency in managing tickets and inquiries.  
  • Others: Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative, clerical, or coordination role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and/or email management tools is an asset but not required. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools. 
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to resolving inquiries.
