AI overview

Support the performance and optimization of a centralized payments ecosystem for high-volume subscription products while analyzing payment flows and improving outcomes at scale.

We are FutureMedia, an established digital agency and startup accelerator with a tradition of developing and scaling highly competitive, high-traffic SaaS and B2C products with millions of users monthly across the globe.

Our 100-person team manages a portfolio of recurring-revenue B2C products. Our centralised payments ecosystem is built on Stripe, PayPal, and supporting providers, with a strong focus on subscription models, trial-to-paid conversions, and auto-renewals.

We’re hiring a Payments Analyst to support the performance, reliability, and optimisation of our payments stack across multiple high-volume subscription products. This is a hands-on, data-driven role focused on analysing payment flows, identifying revenue leakage, and improving authorization, recovery, and billing outcomes at scale.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse end-to-end payment flows across subscription products, focusing on authorization rates, decline reasons, retries, churn, and recovery performance.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Work extensively with Stripe dashboards, reporting, and exports to monitor billing performance, subscription behavior, disputes, and fraud signals.
  • Partner with internal teams to translate Stripe data into actionable insights.
  • Support recurring billing optimization initiatives, including retry logic, dunning flows, grace periods, and recovery strategies.
  • Evaluate experiments and changes to billing rules to reduce involuntary churn and improve LTV.
  • Track dispute ratios, reason codes, and fraud indicators.
  • Support ongoing improvements to dispute handling and fraud prevention using tools such as Stripe Radar, Verifi, Ethoca, or similar platforms.
  • Break down declines by issuer, region, payment method, and customer cohort.
  • Assist in identifying routing, configuration, or UX improvements that can lift authorization and recovery rates.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards covering key KPIs such as authorization rate, recovery rate, churn, disputes, and revenue impact.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses for product, finance, and payments leadership.
  • Work closely with Payments, Product, Finance, Fraud, and Customer Support teams to investigate issues, validate hypotheses, and support data-backed decision-making.
  • Assist in monitoring billing flows to ensure alignment with card network rules, PCI-DSS, PSD2/SCA, and subscription continuity requirements, escalating risks or inconsistencies when identified.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in payments analytics, billing operations, revenue operations, or subscription-based digital businesses
  • Strong hands-on experience with Stripe (subscriptions, payments, disputes, reporting)
  • Solid understanding of recurring billing mechanics (renewals, retries, dunning, trial flows)
  • Experience analysing payment KPIs such as authorization rates, decline reasons, recovery rates, dispute ratios, and churn
  • Familiarity with fraud and chargeback processes and tools (Stripe Radar, Verifi, Ethoca, Sift, Kount, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with strong Excel/Sheets skills; experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar
  • Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
