ABOUT YOU We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Payments Business Development Manager who is strategic, relationship-oriented, and innovative to join our Payments team. The best candidate will be someone with a strong background in the European fintech ecosystem, who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic setting and is excited to drive our payment solution expansion across the European market.  The ability to manage complex strategic partnerships and navigate evolving regulatory landscapes will be key to success in this role.   1. Strategic Business Development
    - Identify and pursue new business opportunities across local fintech and payment markets in Europe.
    - Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's payment solutions footprint across the region.
    - Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform and continuously refine business strategy.

  2. Partnership Management
    - Build and maintain strong relationships with payment providers, financial institutions, and key ecosystem partners across Europe.
    - Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial collaborations to drive mutual growth.
    - Act as the primary bridge between external partners and internal teams, including Product, Legal, Finance, and Operations.

  3. Sales and Revenue Growth
    - Drive revenue growth by identifying, onboarding, and expanding payment method partnerships within the company portfolio.
    - Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored solutions for target markets.
    - Manage a structured pipeline of opportunities, ensuring consistent follow-through from prospecting to activation.

  4. Product Development Support
    - Provide market-driven insights to the Product team to enhance and localize payment solutions for the European market.
    - Support the launch of new products, and go-to-market execution of new products and services tailored to regional needs.

  5. Market Research and Analysis- 
    Conduct in-depth analysis of the European fintech and payments ecosystem, mapping payment method market shares, identifying opportunities, and surfacing competitive risks.
    - Prepare clear, data-informed reports and presentations to support leadership decision-making and regional strategy.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in business development, sales, product or partnerships within the payments or fintech industry, with a strong focus on the European market.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of European payment systems, local payment methods, and the regulatory landscape (e.g., PSD2/PSD3, PCI DSS, AML/KYC frameworks). 

  • Skills:
    - Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
    - Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
    - Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in one or more additional European languages  (including but not limited to Spanish, or Portuguese) is a plus.
