As a Pre-Enrollment & Patient Engagement Specialist, you’ll be the first voice patients hear setting the tone for their care journey. You’ll guide them through intake, earn their trust, and help them take that first step toward better health. It’s a unique mix of warmth, precision, and proactive coordination.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Engage & Guide New Patients

  • Reach out via calls, SMS, and email to kick off the patient onboarding process
  • Help patients complete intake forms, pre-consult assessments, and next steps
  • Answer questions with empathy, accuracy, and energy
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and on time

2. Build Trust & Personal Connection

  • Be a calm, confident, and supportive voice
  • Explain timelines, processes, and next steps clearly
  • Create a welcoming first impression that builds confidence in care
  • Be the bridge between patients and clinical teams

3. Coordinate Smoothly Behind the Scenes

  • Keep patient info up to date in CRM and health tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, EMRs)
  • Spot and fix issues in the pre-enrollment funnel before they become problems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to move patients efficiently through each stage

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Exceptional English communication skills (verbal + written, neutral accent preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare coordination, patient intake, or support
  • Comfort using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce), dialers, and SMS platforms (e.g. OpenPhone)
  • Strong attention to detail — you’re the type who catches the typo others miss
  • Poise under pressure — you stay solution-focused, even when things get busy

Nice-to-Haves

  • Background in telehealth, concierge medicine, or multi-provider practices
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and secure messaging best practices
  • Comfortable with digital tools: spreadsheets, Slack, dashboards, and AI chat interfaces
