About the role: We’re looking for a proactive Sales Manager (Parts) to join our DMG North Parts division and help drive operational excellence within our sales team. This role bridges the gap between strategy and execution - ensuring our internal processes, customer experience, and project execution all run smoothly. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership, inside and outside sales, and our manufacturer partners to streamline workflows, manage key accounts, and enhance overall sales performance.
This role requires occasional travel between locations. For example, while the employee may be based in Sacramento, they should plan to regularly visit offices in San Jose and Reno. Flexibility to work remotely is available when site operations are running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Oversee daily operations within the DMG North Parts sales division, ensuring alignment between sales, operations, and logistics.
Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and standardize best practices across teams.
Support key account management, including quotes, proposals, and follow-up communications with contractors, engineers, and vendors.
Collaborate with inside sales to optimize workflows and ensure accuracy in pricing, documentation, and order processing.
Monitor manufacturer programs, rebates, and sales initiatives, ensuring timely execution and reporting.
Provide leadership and mentorship to support staff, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical parts sales, or operations management (distribution or manufacturer rep experience preferred).
Strong understanding of the commercial HVAC industry, including equipment, systems, and project workflows.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Experience with CRM or sales management systems (Greenhouse, Salesforce, or similar).
Leadership ability - comfortable motivating and guiding teams across departments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
