Partnerships Operations Specialist

Location:  Hybrid (preference for candidates based in Zanzibar, mainland Tanzania, and Malawi with flexible arrangements as  possible)

Role Summary
The Partnerships Operations Specialist is a vital member of our team. In this role, you will support our partnerships and fundraising efforts by optimizing proposal processes, conducting strategic reviews, and ensuring alignment with our objectives to achieve better health outcomes across our countries of operation. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to precision will facilitate effective collaboration among team members while ensuring timely execution of tasks. This position presents an opportunity for professional growth and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. This role may be a strong fit for someone with direct experience in partnerships or business development operations, or for a highly organized operations, administration, or project coordination professional who is excited to apply those skills in a partnerships and fundraising context.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development & Coordination

  • Manage and coordinate the proposal development process, ensuring timely contributions from relevant teams.
  • Maintain submission timelines and trackers to ensure all proposals are complete and submitted on schedule.
  • Assist in drafting compelling proposal narratives and assembling necessary documentation to support fundraising efforts.

Fundraising Operations and Pipeline Management

  • Oversee the tracking and updating of D-tree’s CRM system, ensuring accurate records of funding opportunities and progress.
  • Coordinate team reviews of funding proposals and financial forecasts to improve quality and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Research and summarize relevant funding opportunities to guide strategic decision-making.

Strategic Alignment and Process Improvement

  • Analyze current fundraising processes and identify areas for enhancement to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the development of templates and tools that streamline fundraising operations and enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of strategic thinking and proactive fundraising across the organization.

Internal Coordination and Communication 

  • Ensure organized records of all fundraising activities, proposals, and donor communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and produce high-quality fundraising materials.
  • Prepare staff and leadership for donor engagements by ensuring alignment on messaging and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as International Development, Public Health, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in fundraising operations, proposal writing, business development coordination, or other relevant operational roles with strong transferable skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven strategic thinking and writing abilities, with a focus on clear and persuasive communication.

Salary Range: 

The salary range for this role is USD 35,000 to USD 65,000 per year. Salary placement within this range will be based on the candidate’s skills, relevant experience, and demonstrated value to the organization. While salary offers typically begin at the lower end of the range, candidates who bring strong, directly relevant expertise and exceptional value may be placed higher within the range, in line with D-tree’s compensation approach and internal equity considerations.
