Job Summary of the Facility Specialist

Under the direction of Operations Leadership, the Facility Specialist will work with various corporate office departments to support daily operations through such activities as performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting utility, building equipment & systems, and directing vendors in these endeavors.  

Requirements of the Facility Specialist

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in facilities maintenance
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical skills 
  • Ability to work with limited supervision 
  • Prefer experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook 

Responsibilities of the Facility Specialist

The specific duties of the Facility Specialist include but are not limited to:

  • Provide responsive customer service to internal Axogen employees with regards to facility / equipment issues with emphasis on customer satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment / building systems and coordinate with vendors on repairs as necessary. Equipment examples - HVAC, lighting, freezers, incubators, building access systems, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendors on equipment calibrations and preventative maintenance
  • Order and install replacement equipment where needed
  • Work with IT on infrastructure changes that require IT support
  • Read and understand MEP drawings
  • Read and understand schematics
  • Demonstrate familiarity with powered and manual hand tools
  • Operate a variety of meters for diagnostics
  • Work in a collaborative team environment and interact with other functional groups such as engineering, R&D, IT, HR, finance, operations, legal, quality, and regulatory
  • Assist Axogen departments in facility needs for special events (e.g. coordinate HVAC running during off hours for events with landlord, re-arrange cafeteria area for presentations)
  • Perform other duties as directed by Operations Management

 

Preferred schedule

Part-time, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Hourly Pay Range
