Flexible Paid Opportunity for Local Beekeepers

We are seeking dependable Independent Beekeeper Contractors to provide hive care, inspections, seasonal management, and occasional client engagement in their local area.

This is an ideal side income opportunity for:

You choose assignments based on your location and availability.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine hive inspections and colony health checks
  • Manage seasonal hive needs including feeding, requeening, pest management, and honey harvesting
  • Submit simple photo and written updates through our mobile reporting system
  • Ensure hives are healthy, clean, and presentation-ready
  • Support occasional client visits, tours, or educational events
  • Represent Bees for Buildings professionally at client locations

Compensation

Competitive contractor pay based on services performed, location, and scope of work. Additional compensation available for installs, honey harvests, events, and specialty services.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Prior beekeeping experience (hobbyist to commercial welcome)
  • Strong understanding of colony health and seasonal hive management
  • Reliable transportation for local travel
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
  • Professional communication skills
  • Smartphone access for photos and reporting
  • Bonus: public speaking, teaching, or client-facing experience
