Para Transit Driver - Woodstock

Voyago is hiring a PART-TIME Driver for our Para Transit Division

Your Role

• You are responsible for delivering exceptional door to door service for passengers who are not able to take traditional city transit services
• You are required to provide proactive assistance to passengers in boarding vehicles, maneuvering wheelchairs, securing belts, lifting portable assistive devices, and offering necessary aid throughout the journey
• Additionally, providing superior customer service to all passengers and assisting with information on fares, schedules, and stops is a crucial aspect of this role
• You are responsible for performing basic vehicle inspection to ensure the vehicle is in good working order at the start of your shift

Hourly Rate: $20.05 per hour

Requirements

Your Profile:

• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening
• You hold a valid Ontario G class license and are open to upgrading to an F class license. Voyago provides all required on-road and in-class training to support this upgrade (preference will be given to candidates who already hold an upgraded license).
• You are comfortable upgrading your licence to a class F
• You have excellent customer service skills
• You are comfortable working around any type of service animal
• You have a sound knowledge of the city of Woodstock
• You are comfortable with a fast paced physically demanding job (pushing wheelchairs with a maximum of 250lbs. Twisting, pulling, getting low to the ground to secure the wheelchairs)
• You have flexible availability to work shifts (2:45PM to 10:00PM) two to three days per week, and every other Saturday.

Your work location will be at the Voyago Transportation Woodstock yard, 925 Devonshire Woodstock, ON
