Position Overview

CSN Collision is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter Prepper to join our busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process, ensuring a high-quality finish. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the success of our painting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and cleaning as necessary.
  • Mask off areas of the vehicle that do not require painting to ensure precision.
  • Inspect surfaces to identify imperfections and ensure that they are rectified before painting.
  • Collaborate closely with painters to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Handle and mix paint materials according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on surfaces after preparation.
  • Assist in maintaining painting equipment and tools in good condition.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a painter prepper or in a related auto body role.
  • Familiarity with various painting and preparation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform the tasks required in this role.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in auto body repair or painting is a plus.

Schedule:  

8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, additional as required.
