Packaging Specialist - North Central Region

The Packaging Specialist role reports directly to the Regional Sales Director. This position will support the Account Manager’s within the region by acting as the subject matter expert in the cushioning space.  They will be responsible for growing the overall revenue within the cushioning space for their designated region. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive growth of cushioning portfolio across assigned region in partnership with local Account Managers.  Ability to prioritize time and resources effectively to drive results.
  • Understand key market dynamics and customer needs related to our cushioning portfolio and work closely with marketing and I&D to ensure appropriate market, product, innovation and solutions in the appropriate areas.
  • Present product and solution knowledge to distribution channels in partnership with Account Managers and RSD’s.
  • Work closely with our Packaging Application Centers on custom projects and be prepared to discuss/prepare value analysis and key product specifications to help the sales team close or retain the business.
  • Align with RSD and sales training team to uncover gaps in product/solution knowledge and a strategy to mitigate those gaps in a timely fashion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • BA/BS Degree; MBA or MS a plus 
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales  
  • 3+ years of MS Office Suite 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, CRM knowledgeable
