We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Over-the-Phone Spanish Medical Interpreter to join our remote interpreting team. If you are dedicated to linguistic excellence and professional integrity, we invite you to contribute to our mission. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Interpret live medical conversations between Spanish- and English-speaking parties over the phone with accuracy and professionalism. 
  • Accurately render medical terminology, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment instructions in real-time. 
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and interpreter ethics. 
  • Use a variety of platforms (phone, VRI, or designated software) to provide seamless communication. 
  • Serve as a cultural bridge when needed to support patient understanding. 
  • Record session notes as required by client or organizational procedures.


Qualifications: 

  • Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English with the ability to accurately interpret complex medical terminology. 
  • 1+ year of experience in medical interpretation. 
  • Completion of a recognized 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program (or currently enrolled). 
  • Strong cultural competence and awareness of regional language variations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, customer-focused approach.


Available Schedule: 

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (EST)
