Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced outsource mold designer who has a strong understanding of 3D assembly modeling for injection molds. Experience in Siemens NX is preferred, but candidates with solid assembly-based mold design experience in other CAD platforms will be considered and trained in NX as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and review injection mold assemblies to internal standards and customer requirements
Build and manage complete 3D mold assemblies (plates, actions, lifters, inserts, hardware, etc.)
Work in Siemens NX to issue design files and BOMs (training available if required)
Make minor design updates after design close to support manufacturing needs
Manage multiple jobs concurrently and set priorities effectively
Provide technical guidance to a small team of self-sufficient designers
Coordinate with overseas suppliers and outsource design partners
Present tool designs to internal shop teams and customers

Qualifications:

3+ years of injection mold design experience
Strong understanding of 3D assembly modeling for injection molds
Experience working with full mold assemblies, not just individual components
Siemens NX experience preferred; other CAD platforms acceptable with willingness to train
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience working with offshore teams considered an asset
