Generate new business and expand client relationships in the commercial printing industry while driving revenue growth through strategic proposals and consistent client engagement.
Position Summary
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for generating new business, expanding client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and developing proposals in coordination with the Estimator. Once a project is awarded, the Account Manager takes over for post-sale service and job coordination.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and target new B2B clients in key industries (e.g., retail, corporate, nonprofit).
Prospect, qualify leads, and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Collaborate with the Estimator to develop accurate pricing and proposals.
Present quotes and manage negotiations with prospective clients.
Provide clear project handoff to the Account Manager after sale.
Maintain relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Track KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership.
Qualifications
3–5 years of B2B sales or business development, preferably in commercial printing.
Strong understanding of print processes and estimating
Proven track record of lead generation and client conversion.
CRM proficiency
Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Valid driver’s license; local travel required.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for site visits or client meetings as needed.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and navigate construction sites.
Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
