Position summary  Nava is seeking a Product Manager to join our team developing OSCER Nava's Open Source solution for Medicaid Community Engagement Requirements. (Nava's website, OSCER Github). As part of this team, you will support early stage product and platform development, including but not limited to product and platform iteration, market research, and user research in support of current and prospective clients.  What you'll do

  • Platform product development
  • Executing and iterating OSCER product strategy to help states meet new community engagement requirements with minimal administrative burden
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across design and engineering to progress and execute on team priorities
  • Strategically considering how OSCER integrates with and complements Nava’s broader Strata product portfolio, identifying opportunities for product synergy and cohesive user experiences
  • Conducting ongoing policy research on Medicaid programs and stay current on policy changes that impact product direction
  • Measuring team impact and reporting on progress towards company goals
  • Filling the gaps and adapting to changing team needs in order to drive team outcomes
  • Product marketing
  • Representing OSCER externally via public and private demos, market research calls, user research calls, and prospective client calls
  • Partnering with business development and program management to proactively gather customer and market intel and fold that back into products to make it more compelling for the next touchpoint with potential customers
  • Iteratively testing, evaluating, and iterating on product positioning with external clients, friends of the show, and prospective customers
  • Working closely with business development on tracking the business development pipeline; leverage that pipeline to understand market needs and business opportunities
  • Product adoption and customer success
  • Collaborating with delivery contract teams that are using OSCER with their clients to ensure smooth adoption
  • Collecting feedback from delivery contract teams to iterate and improve OSCER platform offerings
  • Coordinating with design team to plan and conduct usability testing sessions with end users
  • Coordinating multi vendor integration and partnerships with state systems and third-party providers

  • Required skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing enterprise class solutions leveraging industry standard patterns and practices
  • Experience in early stage product discovery and development
  • Experience with platform product management
  • Experience with market research and go-to-market experience
  • Successful delivery of complex features or products 
  • History of building strong relationships internally with peers and working cross-functionally with other internal disciplines 
  • Experience with business development within government digital services firms like Nava

  • Must be comfortable with
  • Facilitating and driving agile sprint ceremonies
  • Responding to, sharing internally, and absorbing feedback in a clear, quick, and concise manner
  • Cross-discipline collaboration with partners across engineering, design, project management, and program management.
  • Problem-solving including internal improvement areas like team structure, norms, standards, and processes with other teammates
  • Large amounts of ambiguity around goals, scope, and priorities
  • Being able to recognize new organic growth opportunities, grounded in pain points or needs we hear from the client, and collaborate with the Program Manager
  • Working with and being fluent in technical products such as SDKs, APIs, frameworks, and libraries
  • Experimenting with AI and following the changing landscape within AI
  • Having a growth mindset
